Have you noticed the increasing number of students who are engaged with gaming and disengaged in your classroom? As a result of this growing trend, there has been a big push in both the public and private sectors to "gamify" learning experiences. Such efforts have yielded varying results. By better understanding what motivates gamers, we as educators can do a lot to keep our students more engaged with our classes. Which of the fourteen things teachers need to learn from gamers resonated most for you? What gamification strategies have worked for you? What hasn't worked? What would you like to try to implement this upcoming school year?
