Google Sites can do so much more than just be your class website.  Come see how you can use it as an alternative tool for individual and group projects.  You nor your students will need extensive programming skills--the new Sites will allow you to use it quickly and add content rich resources into your Site.  We will review some aspects that allow you to use already created Google tools, and some specific parts of Sites that lend itself to this.  We will finish off by brainstorming to come up with some solid ways to use Sites as a platform to meet curricular needs.

In the second part of the session, we will also look at how a major school system decided to use Google Sites for all of their 160,000+ students for digital portfolios.  I will share some best practices and lessons learned on this, how we prepared the teachers, how the community has supported us, and how, even in once classroom, you can get it started as well.
