Paper Be Gone, The Digital Classroom
Paperless is increasingly becoming the norm in the everyday lives of adults, yet our classrooms often do not reflect or prepare students for that reality. During this session, strategies will be discussed to help teachers and students transition to a more paperless environment. While many teacher best practices can be enhanced by going digital, consideration will be given to the fact that going paperless is not an educational outcome, and that there still a time and place for paper and pencil.

Key skills/concepts covered will include:
  • What's the why? Why paperless?
  • Getting the most of your learning management system and the Google Suite for digital organization and workflow
  • File sorting and naming conventions
  • How to ditch the worksheet and facilitate authentic learning experiences with high cognitive demand
  • Facilitating feedback loops digitally

Expand G Suite Functionality and Use with Add Ons to Documents, Slides, Sheets & Forms
Session Link

Google knows you may need to expand beyond the base set of functionality in the core applications of Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms.  To address those needs, they support add-ons.  Add-ons are additional applications you can add to each to further extend the functionality of each tool.

In this session we will go over how and why you may want to use add-ons.  I will share some of my favorite add-ons, and then provide you time to go explore and find add-ons for your needs.  Of course we will give time to install and kick the tires on those you find!  You will leave with your core applications super charged with more functionality!
